This week brings us into a new calendar month and into a new Lunar cycle. The New Moon is occurring in the morning of November 1st in the Zodiac sign of Scorpio. Scorpions are survivors: similarly to cockroaches, they can withstand the extreme radiation, months of starvation and dehydration, and even days under water. The sign of Scorpio possesses an unlimited reserve of energy, the ability to regenerate and transform, and unmatched tenacity and resilience.

The week starts with the Moon in Virgo, offering us an opportunity to clean up and organize for the new Lunar cycle and new beginnings we plan in November. The Balsamic Moon is the time to turn inwards, to digest the recent experiences, and to think through the plans.

On Tuesday, we wake up to the Moon in Libra, prompting us to evaluate the balance in our lives. The calendar and the Moon cycle are well matched this month, and both compel to settle and stabilize our affairs. Several days ahead may be teaching us life lessons, as a rare, difficult and complex configuration of planets in the sky points to endings and karmic knots that have to be resolved. The resolution may come in silence, without warning, and may make us lose out heads for a while. However, if this happens to you, there will be a cathartic feeling of complete renewal, new beginning, new spiritual quests, and newly-acquired strength as a result. The Moon remains in libra through the afternoon on Thursday (EDT), offering us a chance to speak out and reach out to others. Use this opportunity, because the New Lunar cycle starting in Scorpio, combined with Mercury, the planet of words, moving by the next week into Sagittarius (where it gets “foot in mouth” disease) will rob us of the ability to communicate with grace.

On Thursday in the afternoon the Moon moves to Scorpio, just in time for the Halloween celebration: nothing fits Scorpio energy like scary skeleton decorations, spiders, witches, and the ultimatum of trick-or-treating. If you do celebrate and ask for or give out treats, this Halloween may be delightful. On Friday, we wake up with the New Moon and the new goals and plans. Scorpio is not a sign of fast and chaotic moves. It’s the energy of waiting and observing, finding the right moment and executing your goals with a highest precision and mastery. Your plans now may include new rules, breaking the old boundaries, transforming the barriers. However, it may take time and thorough, serious preparation. The Full Moon two weeks later may bring a sudden breakthrough and remove the barriers and obstacles.
Trust your dreams – they may show you the way to deal with the karmic knot you carry.

The Moon moves slower than usual and reaches the sign of Sagittarius only by Sunday afternoon. When the Moon moves slowly, everything moves in slow motion. Don’t try to push yourself to achieve more than the Moon allows you. As soon as the Moon moves to Sagittarius, we will be filled with new hopes and new dreams. The Moon will join Mercury that moves to Sagittarius at the same time, and the desire to speak out may be very strong... But wait! Think twice before you speak: Mercury in Sagittarius is known for its gaffes. The opposition between Mars and Pluto connected to Uranus, Neptune and the evil star Algol brings the energy of power struggle, deception and fighting. Don’t lose your head, don’t fall for the invitation to engage into a conflict. To use the energy of the passionate Sagittarius Moon, focus on your dreams, your education, your future travel and exploration of spirituality and higher meaning of life!
