Week of December 23: Live in Sync with the Moon

adoastrology

We start the week with Moon in Libra, and she calls us to be social and to enjoy harmony in our life. An easy connection to Jupiter, the planet of optimism and joy, makes us feel free and seek enjoyment in everything we are doing. Libra Moon supports decorating, dressing up, and beautifying our home, although finances may be a bit tight, and we may be unable to go as far as we would like to in making our environment comfortable and pleasant. Libra Moon is great for reconnecting with clients, friends, and associates and spending some enjoyable time conversing and exchanging pleasantries. If you are still shopping for holidays, your eyes will be attracted to most beautiful and expensive options, but the serious and practical Capricorn Sun will make corrections to your impulses and will assure you stay within your budget. The opposition between Pluto, the planet of power, and Mars, the planet of anger, frustration and war, is still in effect and growing closer and closer. We have seen its influence on the collective level with recent acts of senseless violence, and many of us may feel it in our private lives. It should be helpful to evaluate how anger and power struggle may affect our future, and, relying on our lessons from the past, make an effort of managing the difficult energy. This is when astrology is the most helpful – knowing that this will also pass, just like the opposition between Mars and Pluto will weaken in the beginning of January.

Tuesday is all about love and happiness, with energy flowing readily between the Moon and two happiest planets – Venus and Jupiter. Everything we do will feel enjoyable, provided we don’t engage in power games of Pluto and Mars. Don’t plan to achieve much on Tuesday – the day will be unproductive. Nothing started on this day will bring fruits. It’s a day to relax.

On Christmas Day, we wake up with the Moon in Scorpio and a more somber mood – the aspect between Venus and Jupiter has ended, and the Moon shares the tension of Pluto and Mars opposition. Scorpio Moon is suspicious, uneasy, and uncomfortable, and the anger and frustration may build up unrelieved and unexpressed. With a later connection between the Moon and Saturn, we may have to even set some boundaries to protect ourselves. Thursday may bring a struggle between our longing for protection and security and the need to interact with others and to deal with unexpected developments. Connect to the tenacity and persistence of the sign of Scorpio to get over the challenging interactions. Friday morning is another very unproductive time. If you can afford it, plan to be lazy and to sleep in.

Sagittarius Moon on Friday afternoon and through the weekend brings happier times and a more optimistic outlook. It connects to the retrograde mars and Pluto as soon as it enters Sagittarius in the afternoon, and it’s important to use that Sagittarius enthusiasm and Leo Mars courage rather than indulging into Pluto/Mars power games. The fiery Moon brings energy and the desire to move forward, and nothing stops us from doing just that on Friday in the afternoon and in the evening. Moving forward will be more difficult on Saturday, when the energetic Sagittarius Moon runs into a tense interaction with Saturn. It’s a reminder about our responsibilities and the reality check, try to keep you enthusiasm and high energy while dealing with chores and duties.

Think twice before opening your mouth on Saturday in the evening as the Moon meets “foot in mouth” Sagittarius Mercury opposite Jupiter. It is still connected to Saturn to remind us about the limits – observe the boundaries!

Sunday may be inspiring if spent with a friend or passionate and full of future plans if you are with your love partner. It is time to plan the future trips, engage into spiritual pursuits, or spend time in the open air – any activity that opens you up to the world outside will be rewarding and pleasant. Reserve the evening for rest and relaxation – although enjoyable, it’s a down time, because the Moon runs alone in the sky and does not support other activities.
