The Scorpio season starts in the evening of Tuesday and brings new developments in the celestial weather. We will have a couple of oppositions (180 degrees aspect between the planets) during this time. Oppositions bring tension and choice, as well as an opportunity to see and understand the others’ point of view. The first one, the opposition between Mars and Pluto is intense, disturbing, and, in extreme cases, violent. Mars, the God of war, and Pluto, the God of the Underworld don’t bring peace and agreement, no matter what type of connection they make in the sky. This already forming and already affecting us opposition perfects (becomes exact) in the beginning of November, and, unfortunately, is still active (although weakening) on the day of U.S. Presidential Elections. This is not the time to get involved in heated discussions or power struggles. Luckily, another opposition is forming in the skies too – the connection between Jupiter and Venus, two luckiest and most beneficial planets, and this one perfects at the same time as the connection between Mars and Pluto. This connection gives us hope for understanding, happiness, and moving forward on good terms. Although the attention is on the violent Pluto/Mars until November 3rd, the Moon in Sagittarius joining Venus in the sky on November 4th brings the energy of the Universe to this peaceful dialog between Venus and Jupiter. The sky is intense at the end of October – the beginning of November: there is another opposition, between Mercury, the planet of words, and Uranus, the planet of rebellion and unpredictable developments. As Mercury in the silent sign of Scorpio will not speak up, any frustration and dissatisfaction may be manifested as sudden actions and passive aggressive behavior. After November 5th, all these tense connections between planets disappear, with only aftermath of Mars/Pluto opposition still lingering for a while. Mars will be turning retrograde soon, and with his retrograde motion, these two will talk again in 2025 – in January and in April.
The new Lunar Month will start on November 1st in Scorpio, highlighting Scorpio themes (change, endurance, tenacity, survivorship) in our lives. The Full Moon will occur Taurus on November 15th and disturbingly close to Uranus and the evil star Algol, and the Moon and the Sun will form a tense and difficult connection with still lingering Mars/Pluto opposition... This is not a perfect celestial weather for the election season, with potentially ongoing counting of votes on this date. Full Moon is the time to bring light to issues in hand. Let’s at least try to delay any serious conversation and decisions in our personal lives at this time.
Beware of Mercury in Sagittarius, starting on November 3, with its “foot in mouth” disease and again – avoid getting into heated discussions for the rest of the Scorpio season. Scorpios are notorious for using very few words and being the best Zodiac signs to trust with your secrets. Rely on Scorpio energy, not on Mercury in Sagittarius!
The most important and unique event of the Scorpio season is the final move of Pluto into Aquarius, where it will spend the next two decades, lifting the heaviness and seriousness of Capricorn in our personal lives and giving the power to the people all over the world.
